Since 1997, Kidasha has helped more than 200,000 children, young people and mothers in Nepal.
Kidasha's mission is to enable socially and economically excluded children to fulfil their potential by improving their wellbeing, supporting their development and reducing the impact of discrimination and social injustice.
We achieve this through our staff based in the UK and Nepal and local partners, building quality projects which have a sustained impact for children and families at grassroots level.
Kidasha was formerly known as CWS (Child Welfare Scheme) and established in 1995 by Douglas Maclagan, to develop projects based on empowering communities and implementing projects on a local level.
Child Welfare Scheme registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales in 1997. As of May 2012, CWS operates under the name Kidasha. All references to Kidasha relate to our work since 1997.
