What CWS does
Through our partners, we support a range of vital health services for the poorest children, young people, and mothers in Nepal.
We focus on developing and supporting low cost, innovative and effective services and methods of health promotion. These provide access to essential primary care, maternal health, and meet the more specific needs of the most vulnerable, and currently include:
-
14 rural village health services
-
Youth health services, including specialised outreach care for street based and working children
-
Mobile health clinics in urban slums
-
A large urban child health clinic - the hub for other health services and referral
-
Safe Motherhood and maternal care
-
A residential unit for rural children and their families accessing specialist health services in Pokhara, with support services such as social work and education
-
A programme to install smoke-free cooking stoves in rural houses
