Education
What CWS does
Through our partners, we support a range of educational projects, for children and young people in Nepal who would otherwise find it difficult to access education.
Our projects provide education for all ages, from early years education to vocational training for young adults. Most importantly, the projects are tailored to meet the specific needs of the students, who may be living on the streets or in remote mountain villages, or coming from difficult backgrounds. We aim to ensure that the education they receive, will help them to achieve their dreams of a brighter future.
Our main educational services currently include:
-
Access to early years education provided for pre-school children, through 13 rural village centres
-
Practical courses and work placements, and support to gain employment, offered to marginalised young people through a vocational training centre
-
Non-formal education sessions and employment support, offered to street and working children through contact centres, and ex-trafficked girls through an emergency shelter
-
A programme to assist street and working children, and ex-trafficked girls, to return to formal schooling
-
Support for vocational and apprenticeship training, to street and working children
